Grown mostly for its irresistible fragrance, this compact variety of an old favorite tends to grow wider than it does high. At 3ft (90cm) high and 4ft (1.2m) wide it is rounded and densely branched, with glossy toothed leaves that turn yellow in fall. Sweetly fragrant spikes of small white flowers that can reach 6in (15cm) long appear in mid to late summer. These in turn form brown seed capsules, that can last into winter. Taller varieties, as well as an evergreen one, are also available.

Cheers,

John
