Dense, greyish-green, fuzzy, pinnate foliage adorns this shrub, which can reach 5ft (1.5m) tall by 3ft(90cm) wide. Terminal flowers, which are five-petalled, cup-shaped, and can reach an inch and a half (4cm) wide, adorn the shrub all summer long, usually in clusters. The flowers on this cultivar are lemon yellow, but white, pink, and red cultivars are available. This is generally considered a tough, easy-to-grow shrub. It works well in rock gardens as well as mixed borders.
