This vigorous grower is ideal for erosion control on banks, due to its habit of quickly spreading by underground stems. Growing to only 1ft (30cm) high, it features bright green foliage (yellowish-green in shade), and bright yellow, 3in (7.5cm) blossoms with prominent stamens. These persist through summer into autumn. For a seamless groundcover, set plants 18in (45cm) apart. It’s very effective under trees and shrubs.
Shear in the dormant season to keep the foliage fresh and dense.
