This moderately growing perennial produces a clump of lacy green foliage that can reach 2ft (60cm) high and 3ft (90cm) wide.  Summer brings blue, saucer-shaped, 2in (5cm) showy flowers that can last for weeks. Its loose habit makes it a valuable addition to cottage gardens. It grows from rhizomes.
