Nepeta racemosa “Walker’s Low”
Type: Perennial
Exposure: Sun / Part Shade
Water: Regular to Drought Tolerant

Folks, we are being mislead; Walker’s Low is not really low at all. In fact, it will reach 2-3ft (60-90cm) high and wide, forming a clump consisting of small, greyish-green leaves that are very fragrant when brushed or bruised. The flowers, which appear in mid spring, are light lavender blue, trumpet-shaped, two-lipped and are held on short spikes above the foliage. If the blossoms are regularly removed after their peak, it will continue to bloom through the summer right into the fall.
Note: although cats tend to be mildly intrigued by this, it is its relative nepeta cataria (catnip) that will really get Mittens wound up.

Cheers,

John
