The fleshy, succulent leaves of this ultra low ground cover grow to a mere 2-4 in (5-10 cm) high, but will spread up to 2ft (60 cm). Mid to late spring brings small butterscotch-orange blooms with a pinkish-white center, which are attractive to butterflies. This is a great choice for a hot, dry spot near the front of beds or spilling over rock walls. It’s easy to propagate too, just tear off a chunk and plant it, and presto…another Ice Plant.
