Griffith’s Spurge
Euphorbia griffithii “Fireglow”
Type: Perennial
Exposure: Sun / Part Shade
Water: Regular to Low
This shrubby perennial forms a clump of dark green foliage with bright red stems that reaches 1-3 ft (30-90cm) after a few seasons. Bronzy-red new foliage arrives in the spring, followed by showy vermillion bracts that last for weeks into the summer. Careful of the milky sap of these though; they can irritate the eyes or skin and can be toxic if ingested. So please- wear your gloves and don’t eat your spurge.
Cheers,
John
