This New Zealand native is frequently referred to as a “structural” plant, because of the interesting branching habit. The bronzy stems have a twisty / wiry appearance, and bear small, sage green leaves bordered with creamy yellow, that are an elongated spoon shape. Tiny yellow flowers arrive in summer. It can be very dramatic if selectively pruned for form, then uplit, and also very effective in containers with blue foliage plants for companions. This corokia will eventually reach 10 ft (3m) high by 6 ft (1.8m) wide if planted in the garden, substantially less if container grown.
