This onion relative is a great choice for “naturalizing,” which means to introduce a plant into an environment where it will thrive and spread. This bulb produces a tuft of slender, grasslike leaves. 1ft (30cm) high stems are topped with a single, fragrant, six-petaled flower. This flower is usually a pale bluish-white, but varieties with pink, purple, or dark blue blooms are available. It may be invasive in some settings; for this reason it is considered by some to be best suited for a woodland or English cottage garden setting.
Cheers,
