Winter Jasmine

Jasminum nudiflorum

Winter Jasmine
Jasminum nudiflorum
Type: Deciduous Vining Shrub
Exposure: Full Sun / Part Shade
Water: Regular

Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife!

Today’s plant, Winter Jasmine is called a “vining shrub,” because it can be trained to climb like a vine, or left unsupported to form an arching shrub that will grow to 4ft (1.2m) high and 7ft (2.1m) wide. If trained, it can reach 15ft (4.5m) long. Unscented, 1in (2.5cm) wide yellow flowers appear on bare green stems in late winter / early spring, followed by glossy green leaves. It can also be used as a bank cover, thanks to its stems’ habit of  rooting where they touch the ground.

Cheers,

John
