Water: Regular

Not to be confused with “Witch Hazel” (Hamamelis). The fragrant dainty yellow flowers of Winter Hazel appear in short clusters on bare branches in late winter. The toothed, nearly round leaves that follow resemble those of the hazelnut or “corylus,” hence the botanical name. There isn’t much in the way of fall color, but the delicate branching habit make this a good focal point plant, and a natural for a Japanese-themed planting.

Cheers!
