Mediterranean Spurge

Euphorbia characias wulfenii

Mediterranean Spurge
Euphorbia characias wulfenii
Type: Evergreen Perennial
Exposure: Full Sun
Water: Regular

This perennial has narrow, leathery, blue-green leaves that cover the stems the year round. In late winter to early spring yellowish-green flowers appear that contrast beautifully with the foliage. It forms a rounded clump 4ft (1.2m) high and wide, and makes a great structural accent plant. The flowers make a striking addition to flower arrangements. Be careful though, all parts of the plant is toxic if ingested, and it’s milky sap can irritate the eyes.

So please don’t ( you guessed it) eat your spurge.

Cheers,

John
