The small dark green leaves of this perennial form a mat 6-8in (15-20cm) high by 3 feet (0.9m) wide, making it a good choice for rock gardens. Small cobalt blue flowers with white centers appear sporadically throughout the year except in spring, when the profuse blooms cover the plant. A versatile plant, this veronica is adaptable to a variety of growing conditions. Leaves turn a glossy purple-ish hue in winter.
