Bergenia’s glossy, oval, deep green leaves become tinged with reddish purple during the winter, and for this reason they are a popular addition to cut flower arrangements. It will form a 12-16in (30-40cm) high by 18-24in (45-60cm) wide clump, which produce clusters of white bell-shaped flowers in early spring. It’s considered an easy-to-care-for plant.
