Lonicera standishii

Shrub Honeysuckle
Lonicera standishii
Type: Semi-Evergreen Shrub
Exposure: Sun / Part Shade
Water: Normal to Drought Tolerant

This evergreen shrub from China grows to 6ft (1.8m) high and wide. It is adorned with fragrant, creamy white blossoms between November and March, which are said to be smell like lemon blossoms. These are followed by red berries that are attractive to birds and animals. It’s considered invasive in some parts of the US midwest, but here in USDA zone 8 it’s a valuable addition to the winter garden.

Cheers,

John
