Bupleurum fruiticosum
Type: Evergreen Shrub
Exposure: Sun / Part Shade
Water: Regular
This slow growing, rounded, evergreen shrub features pointed, oval, glossy, ocean-green leaves arranged in a rather orderly and somewhat visually pleasing fashion on its stems. Reaching 8ft (2.4m) high and wide in maturity, it produces clusters of tiny yellow to greenish-yellow flowers from early summer into autumn. These become seeds that ripen to black, and are reportedly attractive to wildlife. These work well in sunny borders, informal or cottage garden-style plantings, or at the edge of a woodland. They also have the useful ability to tolerate seaside conditions.
