Acer palmatum “Dissectum” |
Laceleaf Japanese Maple
Acer palmatum “Dissectum”
Type: Deciduous Tree
Exposure: Sun / Part Shade
Water: Regular
This variety of Japanese Maple features delicate-looking, lacy green foliage on gracefully arching, drooping branches. These toothed leaves each have 5-11 lobes and are very deeply cut. It forms a low, rounded mound of a tree and grows slowly, eventually reaching 6ft (3.6m) high and twice as wide. They tend to have a very structural, interesting branch structure, especially in maturity, which adds winter interest to your landscape and can be very effective when underlit. Fall turns the leaves to shades of yellow, orange and red.
Other forms, as well as red-leaved varieties are also available.
