One for Karla…
This is a relatively low maintenance perennial that is prized for its late summer-to-mid fall display of single pale pink blooms with yellow centers that sort of resemble wild roses. These are held above the foliage on wiry, branching, 3-4ft (90-120cm) stalks. The leaves are toothed, have 3 to 5 lobes, fuzzy and medium green, and form an upright clump from fibrous roots. While this one is somewhat well suited to our comparatively mild summers (it doesn’t do well in the deep south), it may need some mulching in particularly cold winters.
Cheers,
John
