Small, glossy, dark green evergreen leaves adorn arching branches year-round on this fast-growing large shrub or small tree; the tiny leaves give it a dainty appearance. Small yellow pom-pom flowers that have a vanilla-ish [is that a word?] scent are tucked in amongst the foliage in late winter to early spring. Azaras will reach 15ft (4.5m) high by 6ft (1.8m) wide, and are happy under a high canopy of conifers.
